Why me? Is a question I know you have asked yourself a million times, when the answer is simple, why not you? I’ve learned the hard way that God really doesn’t give us more than we can bear and when it feels like it is more than we can bear its ok to let Him know because He will highlight your strengths through your weaknesses. If this doesn’t make sense now it will one day… Right now, you may be too distracted and torn down emotionally and mentally so you can’t see just how strong you are. Let me tell you it takes an extremely strong person to deal with a narcissist! Most narcissists choose you because of who you are and the qualities you possess. I will almost bet you are a very likeable person, confident, strong, powerful in some way, you’re probably a person that people gravitate towards, you’re loved, and you have SOMETHING in you they want, something they want to destroy. They need you to feed off of and make them look and feel good. When you were being generally who you are by being nice or attentive they looked at that as a weakness but also as a way in. Now it is time to woo you and take you down. Remember narcissists are lovers of themselves so if you are a person that can or will listen to them talk about themselves for hours on end then bingo! They’ve found themselves a winner. It’s an added bonus, a huge plus if you cheer them on as they speak and say things like wow! And really? Or just simply boost their ego then they’ve definitely struck gold with you and then the hooks will slowly go deeper and deeper because you sis are valuable supply. Understanding why is usually a question answered over time and for me after being so confused and wondering why? Time after time it became clear to me MY WHY was so I can now help you.
